Boxing: Golovkin vs Derevyanchenko Odds and Prediction

IBO middleweight titles and the vacant IBF will be on the line this Saturday night in Madison Square Garden in New York.

Competing for the two belts are Gennady”GGG” Golovkin and Sergiy”The Tech” Derevyanchenko. The Kazakhstan indigenous, Golovkin, is now a favorite Derevyanchenko, with all the Ukraine indigenous . This will be the second time and the next time in the last 3 struggles that Derevyanchenko was a underdog. The boxer was a slight +155 puppy against Daniel Jacobs final October and missing that bout at a very controversial split decision. Prior to that scrap, The Technician was undefeated, preferred onto a finish series and in all his bouts. Meanwhile, the GGG is again a favorite if he had been a slight -105 underdog coming straight back at -125, since he’s been for most of his career outside the Canelo Alvarez rematch. Outside of the Canelo fights, Golovkin holds a record with 35 wins coming by knockout and is a favorite in each bout. He went 0-1-1 in 2 choices that were razor-thin. GGG likes to get with his opponents in dogfights backing them in a corner looking to allow his hands fly. He had a knockout streak before Daniel Jacobs went the entire 12 rounds??but lost by decision. Not only does Golovkin have intense hitting power but he has excellent head movement when he’s in the pocket in trades that are crazy, doing a fantastic job of avoiding the true shots of his enemies. One negative aspect of GGG’s guard is that but we haven’t seen it wear down him he does not protect the body that well and can be targeted on there. The Technician has shouts behind lunging movements and jabs and he arouses them. The Ukraine native does a terrific job throughout his flurries to combine his pitches up low and high with speed and energy that is deceptive. By massaging the body maybe a little too close to the 24, Jacobs within their bout defeated over and over repeatedly. In trades, Derevyanchenko must do a better job in bringing his gloves back to his brow as he will trade punch but that is a dangerous game with GGG. 2 forward-pressure fighters that like to get into a phone booth and swap hands. The Technician might have a slight advantage in overall hands rate, but??he tends to timber ahead and defensively there are a number of holes. Meanwhile, the GGG will have the edge in defense, footwork and strength. Prediction: Gennady Golovkin (-550) via knockout Odds at BetOnline as of October 2 Read more:
